George and Destie moved to Maine in 2007 when a passion for wooden boat-building inspired a move to the Midcoast. We settled in Bath in 2009 because we were looking for a vibrant community with a walkable downtown, and close access to the best of Maine: beaches, wilderness, culture, and community. 

George is wood-worker and a former Marine; Destie is a social justice nonprofit manager.  We like to spend time in our community, our garden, and simple pleasures, and we try to infuse those values into our getaways. We hope you feel that they are a respite and an opportunity to relax and breathe deeply – all while exploring some of the finest pleasures of Midcoast Maine.
